Le Petit Délice

A bit of “ je ne sais quoi” on Mainguard Street

Since 2010, Alex and Fred are providing quality breads and pastries to all the foodies in Galway. Both from France, they fell in love with Galway and decided to bring their “know-how” to the vibrant city. It started with just the two of them and they have grown over time, employing approx. 25 people.  They supply many cafes and restaurants in Galway with fresh breads every day.

Their own “boulangerie-patisserie” in Mainguard street is always crowded so they must be doing something right! They serve freshly ground coffee to go along with their famous almond croissants and millefeuille. If you fancy something more savoury, sandwiches on crusty baguettes or traditional croque monsieur are also available.

Come in and visit us, take away or sitting in our lovely cosy corner to unwind to the delicious smell of wafting bread.

Don’t forget to bring a loaf of bread with you before to leave! The sourdough bread is Number 1!

One simple way to reduce our footprint is to buy a reusable coffee cup. These cups are a wonderful vibrant blue and are made to a very high standard from an Irish supplier (KEEPCUP). They come in medium (12€), large (14€) and glass (18€). When buying a cup, you get your first coffee for free and then each time you bring your cup (or any reusable cup) we give you 20c discount. Quite often the beverage tastes better than in the cardboard/plastic cups. So there is no excuse!
